3D/4D Ultrasound scanning

What the Test Does

3D and 4D ultrasounds employ sound waves to create an image of your baby in your womb, just as traditional ultrasounds. 3D ultrasounds produce a three-dimensional image of your kid, whereas 4D ultrasounds produce a live video effect, similar to that of a movie, in which you may watch your baby grin or yawn.

Ultrasounds in 3D and 4D are popular among parents. For the first time, they let you glimpse your baby’s face. Some doctors prefer 3D and 4D ultrasounds because they can detect congenital problems like cleft palate that a regular ultrasound might miss.

Ultrasounds in 3D and 4D have been shown to be safe in studies. Additionally, the photos might assist doctors in detecting and explaining a problem with your kid.

Companies that provide souvenir ultrasounds are the source of concern. Too much ultrasound exposure, according to the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine and the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, may be harmful to your baby. Getting an ultrasound merely to see your baby’s face might not be a wise idea, especially at an ultrasound centre in a local mall or office building where the technicians may or may not be well trained.

Our scanning centre in Kannur – Cloudex Scans, is equipped with 4D ultrasound machine enabling viewing of organs / foetus (to be born baby) from different viewpoints and provide better understanding of the conditions that are must for correct diagnosis and appropriate decision on treatment. Additionally, it is also used for guiding biopsies procedure.
